Boilies with a powdered dip coating

A fast outer layer.A firmer core.

How coated boilies work, what a dry powdered dip does and when to combine a fast surface signal with a firmer core.

NUTRIBAITS / COATED BOILIES

Two layers, two release speeds.

A coated boilie combines a standard or specially prepared core with an outer layer of dry dip. On contact with water, the coating absorbs moisture, softens and releases fine particles. The core remains more compact. The purpose is not merely to make the bait more visible, but to create a different attractor-release profile.

What happens after the bait hits the water

Water enters the powdered layer faster than the boilie itself. The surface turns into a soft, sometimes slightly sticky film and gradually separates. Fine particles and soluble ingredients spread into the immediate area and create the first signal around the hookbait.

02

Why the coating process matters

Simply dusting a boilie with powder is not enough. The mix must adhere evenly, survive packing and transport, and still start releasing after immersion. The binding phase, particle size, number of applied layers and final drying all affect the result.

  • an even coating without bare spots
  • limited crumbling inside the bag
  • predictable action after immersion
  • stability during storage
03

When a coated bait makes sense

Coated boilies suit short sessions, a single high-attraction hookbait or situations where the angler wants activity around the rig without introducing a large amount of feed. They may work faster in warm water and more slowly in cold water. The breakdown time must therefore be stated for the actual recipe.

NUTRIBAITS Mango Coated Boilies

Our first concept is built around a recognisable mango profile and two-stage action from the coating and core. The product is not yet on sale. Diameter, recipe, working time, price and availability will be published after testing is complete.
